Vehicle of interest.

Police officers observed a vehicle in a location known for frequent drug related activity. The vehicle was occupied by multiple young males. Based on the location, behaviour observed, and intelligence related to the area, officers deemed in necessary to engage with the occupants.

Initial police checks were conducted on the vehicle and the individuals present. Following these checks, formed reasonable grounds to suspect the presence of controlled drugs.

A search of the vehicle and all occupants was conducted under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. During the search, controlled substance were located.

As a result of the items found, the stop and search conducted was a positive outcome, and appropriate police action was taken.
